It was as if it were meant to be…
“Great Answers To Tough Questions At Work” has been launched into the world at a time of some of the toughest questions for public figures you could imagine…
“Should you be prosecuted as an international war criminal for invading Iraq when the so-called intelligence claiming it had weapons of mass destruction was wrong?”
These are a few of the questions those at or near the top are struggling to answer right now.
They are hopefully a little different from the questions you are facing in the workplace at the moment.
You might be facing “How difficult will it be for your organisation keep access to the continental market now that Britain is leaving the European Union?”
Or “Is the uncertain result of the Australian election going to make it difficult for us to do business Down Under?”
Or “What will I say in my next job interview when they ask if I haven’t had enough experience?”
Whatever your toughest question is, planning, preparation and practice will help you answer it – especially if you learn how to apply the two golden formulae for giving great answers which are revealed in the book.
VIDEO CLIPS FROM THE LONDON BOOK LAUNCH
Thank you to all who took part and who spoke at the launch of “Great Answers To Tough Questions At Work” in the magnificent Waterstones book store in London’s High Street Kensington.
In Britain, the book is now available in W H Smith and Waterstones bookshops.
Big thanks for those who’ve reported UK sightings of it (and photographed them) on the shelves at London’s City Airport, Victoria and Hemel Hempstead!
The book will be available in other countries as the year unfolds.
The international speaker who is the expert on helping Chief Executive Officers, Roger Harrop, had these uplifting words about the book when he spoke at the launch.
VIDEO CLIPS FROM THE LONDON BOOK LAUNCH
One of the highlights of the book launch was an appearance by the legendary international speaker Frank Furness who has spoken in 58 countries.
I once went to Frank’s amazing “boot camp” for aspiring professional speakers, and in return gave him some media training guidance in a television studio to help him do interviews about speaking abroad.
Frank kindly volunteered to re-enact one of his early answers on the training course – which was admirably less than perfect – and as you’ll see in this video he then goes on to demonstrate how to give a great answer… with a little bit of advice from so-called “Ronaldo”.
And speaking of impersonators, there was also a brief appearance at the book launch by a man who has a lot of questions to answer in Britain right now – the non-candidate for prime minister, Boris Johnson – who led everyone to believe he would seek the top job and then suddenly pulled out.
Amidst the excitement of the launch, speaker and trainer Tony Coll volunteered to do a surprise Boris Johnson-like appearance.
In the near future you will get the chance to see videos of other great performers at the book launch including:
The bitingly hilarious after-dinner speaker Graham Davies…
And the stress-management expert, Carole Spiers….
And the operatic songbird Marika Rauscher…
